Reefer Load
What Is Freezer load Dispatching?
Truckload shipping is the movement of large amounts of cargo, which fills the entirety of the trailer. The entire trailer or truckload are dedicated to a singular customer. Full truckloads often do not make stops in between going from the pick-up to delivery straight through. There are 3 main types of Truckload (TL) shipments; dry van, flatbed and refrigerated.
An average truck can carry between 42,000 to 45,000 pounds. Many full loads do not meet this capacity but instead meet the skid count. A standard carrier can carry up to 30 Standard pallets (40”x48”). count.
